Christian Iovene

Christian Iovene specialises in international arbitration and litigation before Swiss courts, with a special focus in the commodity trading industry and transport matters. He has also experience in advising clients in non-contentious commercial cases, including trade finance work, and regulatory matters.
- Christian graduated from the University of Geneva in 2017 with a master’s degree in international and European law and completed various certificates in the commodity trading industry.
- In 2019, he obtained an LLM in international dispute settlement (MIDS).
- Christian gained experience in international arbitration at the Swiss Arbitration Center (formerly Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution) and at the Trial and Global Disputes practice group of a leading US law firm in Geneva.
- Christian did his traineeship leading to the Swiss Bar exam with a law firm in Geneva, where he mainly dealt with litigation cases.
- Before joining gbf Attorneys-at-law Ltd, Christian worked as an associate in the commodities practice group of an international law firm in Geneva.
- Christian was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2022.
